Kade Meyer Celebration Run

The Seventh Annual Kade Meyer Celebration Run will be held on September 16, 2017, at Celebration Park in Gardner, Kansas.  It includes a 5k and 10k Run/Walk, as well as a Kids 1-Mile Fun Run/Marathon Mile.  The Kids 1-Mile Fun Run/Marathon Mile will begin at 8:00am.  The 5k/10k will begin at 8:30am.  The race will run rain or shine, however, safety is first. In the event of heavy rains or lightning the race may be postponed or canceled. The race director has the right to cancel due to weather. No refunds are given.

Again this year, in addition to the Kids 1-Mile Fun Run, the Kade Meyer Celebration Run is offering a chance for kids to take it a step (or 25.2 miles) further with the Kids Marathon Mile!  Although the route and distance will be the same as the Kids 1-Mile Fun Run, the Marathon Miles encourages kids to stay active through the summer by running and tracking their mileage on a training log.  Their goal is to build to 25.2 miles during the spring and summer months, and then complete their final marathon mile at the Kade Meyer Celebration Run as part of the 1-Mile Fun Run.  If your child is interested, please click here for the training log.  Also, on the registration form, be sure to mark the box indicating if your child will be taking part of this special event!  Every child who participates in the Fun Run or Marathon Mile will receive a t-shirt and medal!

Look for the FREE Kids Zone set up under the big white tent.  The Kids Zone will include a bounce house, Bricks 4 Kidz Lego play area, Balloon Artist, Lots of yummy free food and drinks including Belfonte Ice Cream.  All children are encouraged to participate in the Kids Zone.  While volunteers will be present, parental supervision is required.

Biggest Team  Grab a bunch of friends, family, co-workers - heck, even friendly strangers you met in the check-out line at Price Chopper - and register as a team.  The team with the most members will be recognized at the end of the race.  New this year, participants will be able to form teams of any distance! To do so, your group must include at least four people. Please note that team/family registration can only be completed online. A parental or guardian signature is required for underage participation.

Registration is easy as 1-2-3-RUN!  Simply identify a team captain, who will then register the team name here.  When members from your team go to the website to register, they will choose to register as part of the team name.  There is no additional cost to register a team.
