WELCOME TO THE 6th ANNUAL KADE MEYER CELEBRATION RUN
5K/10K RUN/WALK & KIDS ONE MILE FUN RUN AND KIDS MARATHON MILE
Saturday, September 17th, 2016
Kade Matthew Meyer lost his life at the precious age of 7½ in September, 2010, when he was killed by a car outside of his Elementary school. Kade was a happy, healthy, fun loving and compassionate little boy who always had a smile on his face. Kade loved using his hands building legos, playing guitar hero and playing sports, especially football, basketball and baseball. He was involved in the Gardner Park and Rec sports programs and an active youth member of the King of Kings Lutheran Church.
We will honor Kade's life as we come together to celebrate the time we had with him. All proceeds from the event will directly benefit students of the Gardner Edgerton School District. The KADE MEYER Memorial Fund has been established to assist students needing financial support for their education after high school. An annual scholarship will be awarded to a GEHS senior(s) in Kade’s memory through the class of 2021, which would have been Kade’s graduation year.
Kade’s happy personality brought sunshine into our lives on a daily basis. It is through Kade’s spirit of COMPASSION, towards friends and classmates, that this memorial has been established. Please join us to celebrate the life of our beautiful boy and to help other children in future need of college financial support.
